Northwest Aberdeen Drainage Improvements Aberdeen, SD The 2002 project included removal of approximately 2000 linear feet of in-place RCP Storm Sewer, furnish and install 1630 linear feet of 24-inch RCP Storm Sewer, furnish and install 2457 linear feet of 36-inch RCP Storm. The intent of the work was to remove existing storm sewer and install new pipe reversing the direction of flow to reduce the volume of storm drainage in an overloaded section of the in-place Aberdeen Storm Sewer system. This project also included design and construction of two new Duplex Submersible Pump Stormwater Pumping Stations and 660 linear feet of 14-inch PVC Force Main.
In 2000, this project included removal of approximately 2200 linear feet of in-place RCP Storm Sewer, removal of approximately 700 linear feet of 30-inch RCP Storm Sewer, furnish and install 742 linear feet of 24-inch RCP Storm Sewer, furnish and install 3770 linear feet of 36-inch RCP Storm Sewer in Northwest Aberdeen. The intent of the work was to install new storm sewer and increase pipe diameter of existing storm sewer to re-route storm drainage in the northwest corner of Aberdeen. The desired result was to reduce the volume of storm drainage to an overloaded storm sewer pumping station and the main storm sewer running north to south through Aberdeen. Work under this project also included construction of 5100 linear feet of 12-inch PVC Force Main from a new storm water pumping station to a new outlet west of Aberdeen
