Riverside Casino, Hotel, and Golf Resort, Riverside, IA
This project consists of a 5-story, 200 room post-tensioned concrete hotel that is on a driven steel pile foundation. The 175,000 square foot casino and event center is built on a standard spread footing. In order to comply with the State of Iowa's requirement that gambling be above water, there was a series of water bladder liners placed below the gaming floor. Precast plank was placed over these water liners and supported on foundation walls at 24 feet on center. The goal was to have the entire project completed in a 13 month time period. Early foundation, post-tensioned concrete, and structural steel package was required to meet this very aggressive schedule.
