Clark assisted General Electric in the design and supply of a packaged centralized chiller system with 5,200 tons of refrigeration capacity to Jamaica Public Services (JPS). This chiller was to serve the two 6B combustion turbines of the GE 206B combined cycle power block of the Bouge Power Station.

The central chiller plant was designed to provide cooling of the inlet air of the two 6B gas turbines and the existing inlet air houses were replaced with new ones suited for chilled water inlet cooling. Clark provided civil, structural, seismic, and pipeline engineering services for the project. Using 3D computer modeling, Clark analyzed and designed the packaged chiller’s base skids, the modules framing, and the enclosure buildings. A mechanism for lifting the separate modular components for efficient transportation, placement, and re-connection into a single in-situ unit was also designed.
Clark designed the structural support system for the cooling towers, the pipeline support towers, pipe racks, and suggested foundation systems for the modules, racks, and the cooling tower structure.

In addition, Clark performed all the piping stress analyses for the pipes inside the modules as well as the four pipelines connecting the packaged chiller to the inlet chilling coils of the two inlet air filter house of the two turbines. Clark provided the piping routing plan, the pipe isometrics, the shoes, and the bill of materials for the four pipelines.
